Please visit www.Survivor-Cars.com for additional photos,
information and a video. Check out this cool 1948 Plymouth Custom
2-door sedan. Painted in Hot Rod matte black paint with graphics
for the Fairgrounds Motor Speedway in Louisville Kentucky! Golf
leaf has been used for the accents on the graphics to really make
it pop in the sun. Red steel wheels with beauty rings are wrapped
in wide white wall tires. The restoration is about 10 years old and
still shows very well. This is a great cruiser with a Chevy 350 V8
under the hood with a 4-barrel carburetor with electric choke, and
finned aluminum valve covers and air cleaner. The inside of the
fins have been painted red to really make them stand out when you
raise the hood. The alternator is chrome and pairs nicely with the
aluminum radiator, billet overflow, polished A/C compressor, billet
pullies, chrome master cylinder cap, and red distributor cap. That
V8 runs to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission that shifts on the
column. Power steering, power brakes, a Mustang II front end and
A/C make this a great car to cruise in and the tinted glass keeps
it enjoyable during summer months. The interior has also been
restored and looks great! Black leather-like vinyl on the seats is
comfortable and gives this Plymouth a very clean look. The whole
car was rewired during the restoration and an AM/FM/CD player was
installed. The window "cranks" are actually switches for power
windows! How cool is that? An electric fuel pump and electric fan
make this car easy to start and keep it cool, even on long hauls.
This vehicle was built by the sons of a dirt track racer in his
memory and is a cool piece of automotive Americana! It comes with a
car cover and an assembled 1948 Plymouth grill. This vehicle is
