We have a customized frame up build and made to look like a 1954
Mercury Skyliner/Monterey Convertible here at Skyway Classics.
Mechanical Specs
It was a complete custom build on a 1954 Ford Frame and has a
Volarie Front power rack and pinion steering, a Ford 9" rear end,
air shocks in back to adjust stance, Power brakes, dual exhaust and
more.
This custom is powered by a 327cubic inch small block Chevy engine
with a 4 barrel carb and a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. The
engine is dressed with a chrome open element air cleaner and valve
covers, has Rams Head factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, and an
aftermarket custom radiator.
It has accessories on it like the air conditioning, power steering
and power brakes, Wolo horns, as well as a dual exhaust system with
Super Turbo mufflers.
Interior
Our 1954 has a complete custom rolled and pleated 2 tone
maroon/creme vinyl bucket front seat interior with wood grain
steering wheel, custom 1954 Ford dash with gauges, maroon carpet,
AM/FM stereo radio, electric door poppers and trunk, and a
headliner inside the electric power convertible top. The
convertible power top pumps cost thousands alone.
Exterior
This car has great looking maroon paint that was done within the
last 5 years. It has good looking chrome Merc bumpers front and
back, 1954 Merc hubcaps and diamond back wide white wall tires and
skirts on the rear which add to the vintage look.
The paint job and body work is very nice as is the custom
pinstriping all over the car including inside on the dash, it has a
great looking hood scoop, and the chassis looks painted and had
some custom work done as well.
