MotoeXotica Classic Cars is happy to present this fully restored
and upgraded 1948 Chevrolet Sedanette Restomod. This black beauty
features a GM 307 CID V-8 under it's domed hood linked to a
two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and features full
stainless steel dual exhaust with electric cut-offs. With the flip
of a switch, you can alternate between using the full exhaust
system to avoid a citation for disturbing the peace while in town
and enjoying the full-throated sounds of the engine's song on the
open road as the exhaust exits just downstream of the headers. One
of the best details of this stunning Chevrolet is its custom one
off stainless steel headers! Take a good look at them in the photos
because they are beautifully made! Recently installed parts on this
Chevy have been a new Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, new Champion
radiator, new performance fan and a new air cleaner. The paint is
deep, lustrous and thickly applied. The glass panels are in great
shape, haze-free and intact. The vehicle's lights are clear,
crack-free and look good. The car is equipped with wide whitewall
radial tires, 205/75R14 in front and 225/75R15 in rear surrounding
red steel wheels topped by full Chevy moon hubcaps. All of the body
panels are straight the bumpers, which are painted body color, look
great and the engine bay is very tidy. The car wears the face of a
1947 Sedanette, however, as there's no vertical bar in the center
of the grille, which would mark the car as a 1948, it is titled as
a '48. The trunk opens via electric popper and there is a spotlight
on the driver's side A-pillar, which gives the car an extra touch
of Dick Tracy. Inside, the car sports a new and
professionally-installed interior that looks rich and is a striking
brown/black. The seats look great, as do the carpet, headliner and
complimentary metal instrument panel. Period elements include a
tissue dispenser mounted beneath the glovebox, a compass mounted to
the upper windshield frame and a rubberized fan attached to the
center windshield post to keep the driver cool. The two-spoke
steering wheel and shifter are in good shape and the door panels
are in good order and match the seats. Completing the interior look
are Auto Meter ancillary gauges and a factory AM radio that is
hooked up to a Bluetooth amp and a single speaker. Horn is inop.
The 1948 Series 2100 FK Fleetmaster was again little changed from
the previous year. There were no significant body alterations,
however the radiator grille featured a vertical center bar. 1948
total U.S. production: Fleetline Aerosedan - two-door 211,861
Fleetline Sportmaster - four-door sedan 64,217 The exterior sported
smooth curves, and chrome and stainless trim. In the earlier
models, the rear bumper had an optional center bumper guard that
had to be ratcheted out of the way so the trunk cover could be
lifted. Front and rear bumpers had optional chrome "tips", a
dress-up item that bolted to the ends of the stock bumper. Not a
Chevrolet option but a popular after market feature was a large
external sunshade that protected the driver from glare off of the
metal dash board. Competition to this Chevy in 1948 included
Dodge's Custom four-door, Ford's Deluxe Fordor and the Nash 600
four-door. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! This car is currently located at
our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the
odometer shows 48,311 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean
and clear title. VIN: 3FJF13069 Note: Please see full terms and
