1963 Jaguar E-Type roadster,
1963 Jaguar Etype / XKE roadster, opalescent silver blue metallic with red leather and blue soft top with matching hardtop. These are original colors with all matching numbers.
This is an all matching numbers, 1963, rotisserie restored, XKE / Etype roadster that has its optional original hard top, original AM radio, original tools, jack, and original manuals. I have owned this car for 8 plus years. I purchased it restored, out of a collector car collection in Chicago. Several years after purchasing it I had the car completely rotisserie, re-restored, every nut and bolt removed, in its factory colors, opalescent silver blue with red leather and dark blue soft top with a matching hardtop. This color combination and numbers match the Jaguar Heritage Certificate. This is a special order, very rare color combination.
The car was stripped to bare metal. Everything removed. There was no rust at all. There was no signs of previous damage. This restoration took 2 3/4 years to compete. There is no filler or shims used. The fit and gaps are perfect. The paint is magnificent. And, it is laser straight. Once completed, I drove it several hundred miles and then it went to a British master repair shop where it went through a comprehensive mechanical review to fully sort all mechanical items after the restoration. This step is very important following a restoration. This restoration was competed in 2018. The mechanical sorting was completed in 2019. About 900 miles have been driven since the restoration. It looks and drives like new. The undercarriage looks amazing, as good as the top. This car was number one in the JCNA, Jaguar Clubs of North America U.S. region, highest score in the country, driven class in 2019. The original operating manual is signed by Dr. Sam Sheppard, 'The Fugitive', a perceived previous owner!
