Vehicle Description
West Coast Classics are proud to present a very straight and rust
free example of this 1962 Ford Econoline 1/2 ton Pick Up Truck with
it's 144 CID 6 cyl engine matched to a 3 speed manual transmission,
with a recent service including a new brake master cylinder amp;
front amp; rear brake hoses, new fuel pump, etc. This truck is a
true survivor and a great daily driving truck which has recently
come out of storage and very presentably presented in a two-tone
Brown paint with a matching color interior! The Ford Econoline 1/2
Ton Pick Up Truck competed with the Dodge A100 and the Chevy van
and Chevy Corvair Greenbrier, as well as the VW Type 2. The
'Econoline' range included both a pick up truck, cargo van, station
bus and a Falcon Club Wagon, both with a 'forward control' design.
Placing the driver on top of the front axle with the engine near
the front wheels is called a 'cab over' vehicle. The nose was flat,
with the engine placed between the driver and passenger, who sat
above the front axle. The unibody vehicles used a short, 90 in
(2,300 mm) wheelbase. The truck was popular with camper conversion
companies. In summary this is a very rare opportunity to own a very
unique all American early 60's iconic Pick Up ready for any classic
American truck enthusiast to enjoy today!
