87 MUSTANG GT, 5 SPEED
One owner car was purchased new in Minnesota, but was never driven in snow or ice. Moved to Texas in 1989 and car has always been garaged over night. It has not been driven in rain since I retired in 2003. It has 122K miles, but does not show it.
The upper body is the original Dark Grey Metallic in excellent condition. A 1993 Mustang Cobra grill opening with running horse emblem was added. The blue belt line tape stripe was removed and the lower half was repainted in 1995. The interior is in excellent original condition. The plaid fabric on the driver’s seat was replaced in 2000. There is wear on the grey vinyl where the seat belt crosses.
The short block is completely stock, but from the AFR 165 aluminum heads and up, all has been replaced with conservative upgrades. The drive train from the clutch to the tires has been updated, with the LMR 5 lug conversion, M7003-Z transmission, 3.73 rear axle, plus much more. This is NOT a drag race car and has not been abused, but it has been “tested” down the ¼ mile to validate the performance upgrades. It does run well! And the A/C blows cold.
It gives me great pleasure to see this car sitting in my garage every day, but it should be driven more, and it’s time for a new owner.
