1965 CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY COUPE C-820 The Corvette launched
its 2nd generation with the birth of the Stingray with a complete
redesign barely resembling its predecessors. The Stingray was
lighter, had independent suspension, and was aerodynamically
tested. The only American cars that could produce similar speed
were large, heavy Super Stock optioned Mopars and Super Duty
Pontiacs. For the first time, the United States had mass produced a
true all-around sports car. This 1965 Chevrolet Coupe, with only
52,331 miles, Two Owner, California Car has been maintained to
original specifications. Of the total 23,564 Corvettes produced,
only 8,186 were coupes. Retaining its original 327c.i. motor,
automatic transmission, and 3.36:1 rear end (Code: AK). The
Corvette has been repainted in Marina Blue, and interior has just
been updated to a luxurious black leather, as opposed to the
original black Vinyl. Optioned with original factory air
conditioning, AM/FM radio, power windows, telescopic steering wheel
and power windows. And the original clock continues to keep
accurate time. New for 1965 it has 4 wheel disc brakes (first year
standard) and shown with the classic cast aluminum knock off
wheels. From the pristine interior, to the glistening blue paint,
with a great ride quality, and exceptional for any Corvette, no
rattles, squeaks or vibrations, this classic would be a fun
addition to your garage. ***If you are viewing this on Facebook
