BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this 380SL is clean and straight, as one
would expect for a well-maintained car of this caliber. While it
shows some minor signs of use here and there, this car looks to
have been meticulously taken care of all of its life. All emblems
are in place and have a brilliant shine! The body on this car is in
beautiful condition, and must be seen in person to be fully
appreciated.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: This 380SL appears to still be wearing
its original paint. While golds and browns may not always have the
impact of a more vibrant color, the Sahara Gold is a classic color
and it works well with the interior color to give this car that
classy, elegant Mercedes-Benz look. The paint is in nice condition
with a deep and glossy finish, but it is showing some checking that
is common on Mercedes products of this era.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Much like the exterior of this car,
the interior is in remarkable condition for the age of the vehicle.
While some areas show signs of age, the interior is in great
condition! The tan MB Tex is the perfect contrast to the exterior
color, and gives the interior of this car a unique look. As always
with MB Tex, it has held up very well over the years!
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is the buzzy little 3.8L
Mercedes-Benz V8! While this car is no 560SL, the 380SL cruises
along happily with this little V8. The engine in this car purrs
like any good Mercedes-Benz should, and provides more than adequate
power for a car this size. It feels very solid to drive, and
handles like only a German touring car can. This car is a
blast!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The beautiful warm colors! Plus it
has a trolley for the hard top!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: There's not much to dislike
here.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The air conditioning isn't blowing cold, and
there is a leak from the washer fluid reservoir. Also, the radio
doesn't seem to be functional.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Whether you're a long-time
enthusiast looking to add to your Mercedes-Benz collection, or a
newcomer looking for an affordable entry-level vehicle, this 380SL
