might look a little out of place with our typical inventory, but
this clean, one owner Explorer has more than meets the eye. Not
only is it a well maintained Explorer, it is an Explorer Sport that
has been tastefully modded to give it a bit more power. With
Explorer Sport exterior trim, this thing has slightly more menacing
looks than the standard Explorer. Darker grille, blacked out trim,
and darker wheel treatment are a few of the details that give this
Explorer tough looks. Inside is a factory Sport interior that
includes red stitch on the leather seats. In addition, the interior
offers heated and ventilated seats, navigation, Bluetooth, three
rows of seating including second row captain's chairs, aluminum
trim, and two moonroofs. The windows were tinted using ceramic tint
for lower temps, and Maxpyder molded floor mats have been added so
you're prepared for whatever season mother nature is sharing with
you. Sure a comfortable, reliable vehicle is important to us, but
being able to move fast is also something that we like. It's even
more fun when the vehicle is fast, but the average person would
look at it and not expect a vehicle to be fast or powerful. The
ECOBoost twin turbo engines put out a respectable amount of power
right out of the box, but there was room for more with a few fairly
simple mods. The first few mods added were from Livernois in the
form of a 93 Octane tune, a cold air intake, and catted downpipes
(which do NOT cause engine codes). To help with the flow of gases
further, a Gibson dual exhaust with 4 chrome exhaust tips was
added. A few other mods were added under the hood: a lower
temperature thermostat, colder spark plugs, 3 bar map sensor, JLT
catch can, and a Boomba twin blow off valve adapter. All this work
gives this Explorer well over 400 horsepower - ECOBoost vehicles
with similar mods are rated at approximately 450 horsepower. That's
more power than the brand new 2021 Explorer ST puts out! Mean
looks, enough power to throw passengers back in their seats, and a
comfortable interior, are just a few great highlights of this
not-so-average SUV. This Explorer is one to consider if you're like
us, and like a little more power than what a vehicle left the
factory with. We assure you that the-seat-of-the-pants-dyno rating
is high, you'll definitely surprise people with this Explorer! Be
