EXTERIOR: Beautiful color combination, very rich and classy
burgundy with champagne metallic. The body is not showing signs of
rust or damage. The panels fit nicely. The paint is super glossy.
It has a few imperfections but shows really well. The chrome is
very impressive, a strong point on this car. Upfront the grill
bumper, bumper guards, headlight bezels, emblem, hood ornament have
all been replaced. The stainless moldings down the sides look new.
All the stainless around the tops of the doors and windows were
replaced. The vent window pillars, mirrors, door handles and even
the wipers look new. In back it is all new, they are the shiniest
56 taillights I've seen. Good original glass. Door jambs are
painted nicely, has new weather strips. 15 inch rally wheels are
painted that same champagne color, they have all new trim and
spinner center. White letter BFGoodrich tires.
INTERIOR: Custom interior done to match the exterior. Two tone
pleated upholstery on the seats, the rear deck and the door panels.
Headliner was replaced. The dash area is beautiful. It's painted
like the exterior and is super glossy. All the chrome trim sparkles
like new. The steering wheel was restored. It does have a nice
vintage style tachometer on the column and a gauge cluster below
the dash. Upgraded retro stereo and 6x9 speakers in back. Carpets
were replaced, has embroidered floor mats. Window cranks, door
handles, armrests were replaced. Kick panels are reupholstered.
Exceptionally nice inside, comfortable too.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: According to the casting numbers on the side of
the block it is a GM crate 350 motor. On top of the motor it has an
aluminum intake and Edelbrock carb. Sharp looking matched set of
chrome valve covers and air cleaner. chrome alternator, bracket,
timing chain cover and pulleys. Features include electric wipers,
power steering and power brakes. Runs cool with polished stainless
hoses, aluminum radiator with a giant chrome electric fan in front
and the stock fan in back. The radiator support is chrome. Chrome
battery tray and hold down brackets. The power brake system looks
new.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is painted glossy champagne color on the
sides and under the lid. The back of the seat has pleated
upholstery. It has a custom made tire cover over the spare. New
original style rubber mat on the floor. Weatherstrip still looks
new. There is an assembly manual and some custom taillight lenses
with bowties in the middle.
UNDERSIDE:The body was off the frame, the body bushings were
replaced. Looking up at the motor it's very clean. The power
steering control valve system has been replaced. The manual shift
three speed has electric overdrive. The fuel tank is new. Great
sounding dual exhaust system with glass pack mufflers. Upgraded
with disc breaks in front. New shocks. The floors look very
solid.
This Bel Air has a look. The camera man kept telling me to raise
the price after making the video. It's a sharp looking, comfortable
car. I think I'll take it home today, I want to shift those
gears!
