comfortable street cruiser with looks that kill. A stand-out
Mustang Fastback example that has been recently serviced and is
ready to roll!
One of Ford's truest, original performance car platforms leading
into the muscle car era was the Fastback! Even today, the terrific
looks of this early design can be seen on the modern retro-version
reintroduced in 2005 and continues to this day. The Fastback came
with a host of factory options, you could get one in just about any
way you could dream up!
The available 1966 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback, seen here, showcases
an impressive restoration that was completed not long ago and is
finished in a gorgeous Raven Black finish over new deluxe Red
Luxury interior. This classic muscle car is loaded with options,
including, the original A-code 289ci V8 replaced with a 1970
date-coded 302ci V8 fitted with Cobra aluminum intake and dual
Edelbrock 500cfm carburetors, Cobra finned aluminum valve covers
and 7-quart aluminum oil pan! All of which is combined with a
manual 4-speed wide-ratio top loader transmission and original 8"
axle fitted with factory 3.00:1 ratio. Additional options on this
beautiful classic mustang include working factory-style air
conditioning, Borgeson power steering, upgraded 4-wheel power disc
brakes, polished Billet Specialties aluminum wheels, rear quarter
vent windows, fold-flat rear seat with trunk pass-thru, new Custom
Autosound AM/FM/Aux radio in stock location, hazard lights, reverse
lights, and Moto-Lita steering wheel!
This classic muscle car example bears a very impressive rust-free
chassis, floors, rockers, and overall body that should impress even
the pickiest of buyers! The paint finish does show some shrinkage
below the rear window glass that will require a body shop to be
perfect again, but it doesn't detract from the gloss and
beautifully smooth finish of the balance of the panels. These true
Fastbacks are getting harder and harder to find, especially with
prices for clean examples increasing at a steady rate these last
several years. This particular example is a nice blend of original
and mild custom by sporting a Shelby style fiberglass scoop (on
steel hood) and rear Shelby GT350 gas cap. The disc brakes are now
equipped with drilled/slotted rotors at all four corners for better
stopping performance. It also has new Gabriel rear air shocks, new
KYB front shocks, 17" front/18" rear staggered wheel combination,
new tires balanced, along with a complete steering alignment to
ride the road straight and true!
The 60s Mustang Fastback, seen here, recently received a complete
transmission rebuild less than 20 miles ago to include new forks,
synchronizers, along with, 2nd & 3rd gears, seals, clutch kit,
grind to the flywheel, and fluid seals to provide years of faithful
service! New parts will be found throughout the entire suspension,
braking, and fuel delivery systems. And it meets all muscle car
sound requirements with a robust Flowmaster dual exhaust system!
Since completion, it has only 105 miles showing on the odometer. It
is a great pleasure to represent a solid car this well-appointed,
complete with spare tire, cover, and new trunk mat. Please feel
