PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The exterior is finished in a brilliant
purple/blue/silver color called Quartz Blue Metallic. This was a
special paint color reserved for the 40th Anniversary SLs. The
paint is in remarkable condition that suggests this vehicle was
garaged and kept out of the elements. With just 55,424 miles on the
odometer it is no wonder that there are very few imperfections in
the paint.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Step inside, and you'll be transported
to a completely different place. The interior is finished in a
soothing gray material with special 40th Anniversary Edition wood
trim on the doors, steering wheel, dash, and console. The interior
of this car is strikingly lighter and more calming than the
interior of other contemporary Mercedes-Benz products. The special
Royal Maple wood trim is sure to catch the eye of any discerning
Mercedes enthusiast. The interior is very nice, clean, and complete
showing only minor wear on the driver's seat bolster.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: The engine runs smoothly and quietly; this is
a beautiful example of German engineering inside and out! The M112
3.2 L 18-valve SOHC V6 is a great powerplant for this car, and
provides plenty of pep. Additionally, the presence of the original
owner's manual and supplemental documents suggests the level of
care this car has received.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The rarity, the way it drives and
the convenience of having both a soft top and hard top. Plus how
can you not love this interior!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: This Mercedes is squeaky clean.
So, for some buyers it might actually be too clean to enjoy it.
