Vehicle Description
This 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback Restomod has an awesomely mean look
from every angle. It also has the performance-built Dart/Roush
fuel-injected V8, five-speed stick, and sports suspension to back
up the intimidating appearance. And as a true restomod, you get to
enjoy a fully upgraded package from a custom/comfy interior. So
yes, you're looking at a true dream car up for grabs.
The first-gen Mustang fastbacks always a favorite. They were the
first to be turned into race cars because of their slippery
styling. And this one really loves to highlight that sleekness with
the Candy Apple Red. It has a modern metallic finish that really
highlights the lines every time the sunshine touches the
super-straight sheetmetal. In fact, this one is so clean and sleek,
they even painted the bumpers to match. But the reason why this is
extra appealing is because it also borrows from some of the best
Mustang generations around. The big front spoiler and black out
rear look like they were borrowed from a Boss. The side scoops are
a true Shelby-style touch. And the hood is custom-crafted piece
that channels the lines into the big scoop - just like the modern
Mustang GTs.
Inside is a tasteful red and white two-tone. This has the right
vintage pieces we love to see, like the premium "Pony" upholstery
package and the fold-down rear seat. But there's also a ton of
upgrades. Some are there for added comfort, like the cup holder
center console and AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input and Bluetooth.
There's even R134a air conditioning (will need servicing to blow
cold again.) Other pieces are pure performance, like the
wood-rimmed GT350 steering wheel on the tilt column. And have you
counted the gears on the Hurst shifter yet?
You are absolutely going to love lifting the hood at car shows.
This has the look of classic speed with a vintage-style battery
topper and the appearance of velocity stacks. But you really want
to take a closer look to discover the modern juggernaut. It's a
Dart 351 cubic-inch V8 block with Roush 402IR packaging. That
includes a forged rotating assembly, Roush aluminum heads, and
Roush cast valve covers. And those "velocity stacks" are from
Weber, but they are actually individual throttle body fuel
injection units! This even has the right supporting components,
like an Accel DFI 6A ignition, March serpentine belt system, and an
aluminum radiator with electric fan. Hooker Super Competition
headers feed a very straight H-pipe dual exhaust on its way to the
Magnaflow mufflers. It makes for a terrific tune. But don't just
listen to it; follow the path in the undercarriage photos. There
you'll spot more great upgrades, like the tubular A-arm front
suspension, thick way bar, and subframe connectors. The five-speed
manual transmission puts you in firm control over the full power
package. And control is a central theme with rack & pinion power
steering, grippy sport tires, and four-wheel power disc brakes with
drilled & slotted rotors.
This is an absolutely awesome package, and we even have a receipt
from this summer showing over $9k invested in this big power motor.
So you're looking at the ultimate first-gen fastback restomod. And
since it's one-of-a-kind you may never get another chance at this
again. Call today!!!
