Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu has a terrific vintage look
inside and out. Plus, it has a ton of great classic pieces, like
the factory shipping order and numbers-matching V8. But what you'll
really love is the time they took to integrate the best features to
make this a great cruising classic - including air conditioning and
an overdrive transmission.
Not only is the odometer believed to reflect this car's actual
total mileage, but also it has only been driven about 1k miles in
the last few years. What that signals is a classic that has been
treated as a special occasion machine. And this level of respect is
seen in the factory-correct Butternut Yellow paint. It's a nice
1960s color that was given a quality respray later in life to make
sure it retains a good gloss. Straight body panels, complete trim,
and bright chrome bumpers are all part of the quality package. This
one isn't trying to be a Super Sport. Instead, it's reminding you
of premium feeling a Malibu really offers. That means terrific
details, like the full-length black pinstripe that loves to show
off the straightness of the body. And the sweeping trim down by the
rocker is the dividing line for the lower gray section for this
coupe's subtle two-tone.
The factory-correct parchment interior continues this car's premium
impression. After all, the light color always has an upper-class
look, and it's well-done on the seats, door panels, and headliner.
It really is complete, right down to the button-top seatbacks. Even
the trunk was restored to look correct. It's a comfortable driver
with bucket seats, a center console, and a factory dual spoke
steering wheel that gives you a clear view to the full gauge
package. Plus, there are all the right extras, like auxiliary
readouts, a cup holder, and a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner. And
while this was born a factory air conditioning car, a newer
compressor and modern R134a refrigerant means it blows cold today
and keeps it easy to service down the road.
Under the hood is a very cool package. It's the numbers-matching
307 cubic-inch V8. It has the tidy look of plenty of proper care,
including fresh hoses, good belts, smooth fan shroud, bright
Chevrolet valve covers, and a polished air topper. So you'll
happily show this one off. And because you also have a new Holley
four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer EPS intake, this
original powerhouse now has a lot more power. Plus, this gets to
take full advantage of the enhancement because it doubles the
amount of gears. The switch from a Powerglide automatic
transmission to a 700R4 four-speed (rebuilt less than 1,000 miles
ago) gives you better ratios and the comfort of overdrive. It makes
for a much better cruising classic. This driver-friendly nature is
also in the power steering, power brakes, air shocks, and a
terrific set of grippy modern tires on polished 17-inch American
Racing Torq Thrust alloys.
The sale come with a copy of the shipping report, which allows you
to see info just like the window sticker. That's just another one
of those extras that this impressive coupe loves to offer. So if
