1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli is America's Road Racing
Series and dates back to 1966. Throughout the years, some of the
greatest names in motorsports have participated in the Trans Am
Series. Names like Tommy Kendall, Mark Donohue, Peter Gregg, Bob
Tullius and Wally Dallenbach, Jr. have all won multiple
championships under the Trans Am name.
It was with wide eyes, hopes and dreams, and the fantasy of a dream
car build that we bring you this consignment. Now through two
owners with the good intentions of restoring the car, sadly time
and other life events got in the way and prevented that from
happening. So now for consignment a dream-maker, empty pallet, a
way to march to your drummer's beat with this incomplete roller
from 1980 and taking the form of the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
Exterior
All panels are sanded and prepped, rust free and bathed in primer.
It's a shell if you will, with no rear glass, it does have it's
T-top glass and windshield. Various parts are stuffed into the rear
passenger compartment, and others in the trunk, but a complete
inventory will have to be performed in person to actually sift
through the remaining parts, which appear to be numerous.
Interior
White seats with some black and white inserts in cloth, now sits in
need of restoration. The original dash is intact, however based on
the wiring hanging below, someone with some automotive knowledge
will be summoned at some point.
Drivetrain
No engine or transmission is currently in this car so again an open
canvas to put in whatever you want to. Be creative!
Undercarriage
Appearing structurally sound underneath, some surface rust is
present floorpans and rockers are rust free and sound, and many
mechanicals need to be installed anew.
You will be picking up the basics with this roller, although body
work is done for the most part, just the big decisions as to power,
interior and color willed to be taken on... Not for the faint of
heart, but in the end totally YOURS.
