Vehicle Description
This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible replica is quite an
interesting machine. It has the iconic look you love, and there's
proper big block power. This even gives you some unique features
and allows for you to dream bigger than even the Sting Ray could.
So it all makes to a package that really gets you thinking.
When you want to get the Corvette look correct, it always helps to
start with a bright red. After all, that's the preferred color for
America's sports car. This one also gets many of the Sting Ray
design pieces that you love correct, like the sharply creased
fender tops and even the big block stinger hood. But then there's
also a style all its own with the sleeker bumper-free rear end (the
bumpers do come with the sale,) and the plexiglass front light
covers that give a Grand Sport style look. This even offers
something that you couldn't get in the C2, a proper trunk!
This one was definitely meant to be open to the world. The red and
black on the bucket seats and matching door panels coordinate with
the exterior. And the tuck and roll-style inserts add some nice
flair. The ratchet shifter, upgraded gauges, and sports steering
wheel on a tilt column are all part of a drive-oriented package -
just like any good Corvette. The dash and center console have some
custom wood paneling. It would be easy for you to change if you
really wanted to, but you'll soon understand why this theme is
quite appropriate.
Another great part about this replica is he engine bay. The 396
cubic-inch big block fits in there with a ton of room to spare. So
not only does it look like there's more weight towards the center
of the car, but also there's extra space for you to add extra
go-fast goodies. Of course, this one is already pretty darn strong
with the big block power enhanced by an Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor, Weiand Action Plus intake, upgraded distributor, and
shorty headers. And those side pipes are directly fed by the motor.
So with one twist of the key, this one produces a wicked sound that
lets you know how it earns the Bad Lucifer nickname you saw on the
dash. The Powerglide automatic transmission may even make you think
about drag racing this convertible. Then again, you also have power
steering and power brakes with discs up front. So it can just be a
fine cruiser, too.
The sale come complete with restoration photos and framework for a
soft top. This is a replica you don't see very often at all. It
gives you the freedom to have a cool Corvette style machine, and
also makes it a lot easier to have a far more wicked package. Are
