This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible has a sleek red look, A/C
interior, and some very cool surprises. So as you look over this
total package, you begin to see an attractive V8 drop-top classic
offered for quite an obtainable price.
Red on a Corvette always looks good, but this gives you a little
extra. It's a later application that has a nice gloss and shine
(and that's always great for a sunshine friendly convertible.)
Plus, the redline tires are a true masterful touch of coordination.
With the extra-curvy fenders and white convertible top, this has
all the timeless appeal of a Coca-Cola bottle. Also, this car has
an interesting secret. The trim tag shows this as a factory black
car. If true, it makes for the rarest and most desirable colors for
this first-year C3. So while the high quality red already on this
one looks great, you also have a conversation piece about this
convertible's history.
The red tone of the exterior goes well with black interior. So no
matter if you have the folding roof in place, or this convertible
is properly open to the world, you will always have an eye-catching
package. Corvettes have always been a great personal sports car
that provide performance features with plenty of creature comforts
to make it a great long-distance cruiser. You get a three-spoke
steering wheel and ahead of that is the large dual pod gauges for
the speedo and tach. Just to the side are a full set of auxiliary
readouts, including a working clock. There's an upgraded AM/FM/CD
stereo for better driving music, and we all love a convertible with
the factory air conditioning blowing nice and cold.
Under the hood is Chevy's 350 small block V8. It's famous for been
stout and powerful, and so that makes it a nice piece to have in
this Corvette (remember, the first-year C3 only had the smaller 327
for small blocks.) It fires up readily as the V8 inhales deeply
from the four-barrel carburetor. And the dual exhaust has a sweet
tune that makes you happy to hear the rumble better with the top
down. The TH400 three speed automatic transmission is good for
being both strong and smooth, and the fully independent suspension
is ideal for America's sports car.
This C3 combines the right features, the right upgrades, and a
great story to tell. So when something this desirable is also
priced so right, you know you need to hurry to grab this deal. Call
