Interior:
The interior is in excellent condition and 100% original. The dash and rear deck are perfect. The steering wheel is perfect, horn works. The headliner, visors, and all door panels are perfect. The carpet is clean and the seat fabric has no tears or stains.
The original floor mats are included (front and rear).
Body:
I was told by the previous owner that the blue paint is original and is in good condition with very little cracking.
Fully polished and waxed. There are some minor nicks in the paint, typical from driving and parking, front right fender was slightly worked on back in the 70s but is hardly visible. The white vinyl top is in excellent condition and has only one small blemish.
Very little surface rust even in the doors and wheel wells. All the chrome trim is in very good condition and several pieces including the front headlights have been replaced. Some of the chrome including the windshield vents and side mirror has some pitting. There are some scrapes on the bottom of the front left and right bumper corner pieces. The bumpers do show some light wear of a car this age. The weatherstripping has been replaced with OEM.
Electric:
Everything works.
including Guide-Matic headlamps that automatically dim the high beams upon an approaching car & return back to high beam afterward. (I have disconnected them because they are annoying), windshield wipers, top lights, turn signals (The right turn signal arm needs to be held up for signaling but the lights all work fine), Parking lights, All Interior lights all work.
Notes:
This car has been in a dry, temperature-controlled garage for all of its days. I bought it from the original owner's family back in 2014. His Mother and Father bought it new and over the years drove it back and forth from Wisconsin to Florida to avoid the winters. The car rarely saw winter and in the last 8 years has never been in the rain. Driven only occasionally and only on sunny days.
The car starts up and runs beautifully with no tailpipe smoke. It has been very well maintained. It’s not a “perfect” car but when I drive it, it turns heads. Very reliable - In fact when I bought the car I drove it from Wisconsin to Ohio right out of the original owner's garage before I had all of the work outlined above done to the car.
