I know what you're thinking. What is that? Is that a Plymouth that
looks exactly like a Mitsubishi? Well, this is actually the fourth
generation of Plymouth that was marketed the "Champ" as it's own
vehicle however it was manufactured by Mitsubishi and imported by
Plymouth. Now that we've got that out of the way, this Champ is a
1.6L 4 cylinder engine with a novel "Twin Stick" (Mitsubishi Super
Shift) version of the transmission that used a two-speed transfer
case to give 8 forward and 2 reverse speeds. How cool is that?
Guess what the two-speed transfer case modes were called? Power and
Economy! So with this awesome transfer case idea you could save
yourself a few pennies by changing to a more economical gear and
saving some RPM's, while the power mode would give you more RPM's.
Looking like it jumped right out of Netflix original's Stranger
Things, this car has the 1983 Hawkins Middle School decal on the
back window to remind you of that. All jokes aside, this has to be
one of the coolest economical cars to come out of the 80's let
alone be alive and kicking today. Aside from the A/C (owner
believes it needs a compressor) everything works as it should and
give you the feeling that you're right back in the 80's every time
you climb into the driver's seat. The owner would also like you to
know that it comes with an abundance of extra parts to include the
original front seats (that need recovering) and an unused NOS
(that's new, old stock for those of you not familiar) hood to go
with the car. To find this treasure in this kind of shape and it's
under $10K is pretty tough now days. We make financing easy and
welcome trade ins so come see this Champ before it's gone!
