This 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a two owner car that was
purchased new in October 2002 at Sunnyvale Chevrolet near San Jose,
California. The first owner never tracked it and took excellent
care of it, putting just under 30k miles on it before selling it in
November of 2017.
The current owner, a friend of ours, enjoyed it for two years and
also never tracked it. He is currently working on a project car and
asked us to consign it for him. He has a clean Texas title, the
owners manual, maintenance history, as well as that from the first
owner. He replaced the rears tires in June of 2018 and the fronts a
month later with just under 33,000 miles on the car at the
time..
The 5.7-liter LS6 V8 produces a listed 405 horsepower from the
factory that goes through a rear-mounted 6-speed manual
transmission. The changes to the Z06 over the base Vette included a
lighter battery, less sound-deadening material, thinner glass, and
a titanium exhaust system to save weight. It also featured an
upgraded suspension system with upper and lower control arms,
transverse composite leaf springs, and anti-roll bars in both front
and rear, Brake cooling vents were a new feature on the Z06 as
well. The interior is black leather with red Z06 stitching on the
head rests. This Z06 comes with the original working heads up
display and Bose head unit and sound system.
It is one of only 1,089 produced in 2003 and is a really unique
Vette for the street or a great platform to start with for the
track.
