Ford sales were solid in the late '30s and early '40s. Their
reasonably priced coupes and sedans were rolling off the assembly
lines and flying off the showroom floors. This classic 1940 Ford
Deluxe Coupe is a perfect example of that success story. It
received a full restoration in 2005 and has been carefully
safeguarded ever since. The handsome sheet metal was refinished in
what appears to be Garnet Maroon and trimmed with outstanding
chrome accent pieces. Stock 16" steel wheels w/factory hubcaps/trim
rings and Denman bias ply 'Wide-Whites' complete the exterior
offering. The interior was carefully restored. Everything looks
perfectly authentic - tan cloth upholstery,, dashboard, Bakelite
instrument components and 17" Deluxe wheel - all showstoppers. The
coupe is powered by a rebuilt 221ci flathead with vintage Holley
carburation. Transferring power to the 'banjo' differential is a
3-speed manual transmission with factory '3-on-the-tree' column
shift. The chassis incorporates stock suspension, manual steering
and hydraulic drum brakes. This stunning Blue-Oval is ready for
your next hometown car show, parade or summer cruise-in. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
