Advanced Automotive Technologies built and designed a retro Vette
for GM to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Corvette. AAT went on
to build 200 more to the general public, of which only 7 were ZO6s.
It offers a blend of the looks of the original 1953 with todays
reliability and performance. This car has $50,000 in upgrades and
only 24,000 miles. It includes stacks of documentation. It has all
the original GM literature and window sticker from new. It also has
documentation in regards to the conversion including pictures at
the assembly plant.
EXTERIOR: New body panels were attached to the factory fastening
locations. No cutting or modifying was needed. The factory
integrity goes unharmed. Upfront is a cool blend of the distinctive
1953 front end on a modern, low slung sports car. It has the chrome
grill, bumperettes and emblem like an original. There are vintage
style chrome grills over the high tech headlights. Each side has
vintage chrome spears and modern ZO6 air ducts for the brakes. The
rear has the distinctive taillights in the tail fins but upgraded
with LED bulbs. Real chrome bumperettes and recessed licence plate.
The 1953 exhaust ports have reverse lights. This car has the
original Commemorative Edition chrome wheels, 17s in front, 18s in
back wrapped in Goodyear F1 performance tires. All the glass,
window seals and weatherstrips are excellent.
INTERIOR: Inside the car is as it would have been from the factory
with the exception of all the red accent trim it was added to look
more like the original 53. It has ZO6 embroidery on the headrests,
center armrest and floormats. The leather sport seats have red
stiching. It also has ZO6 logo on the tachometer, ZO6/
Commemorative Edition sill plates and a tag on the filler between
the seats indicating this is car #174. It is full of options
including the premium Bose stereo, dual zone climate, all the power
accessories, lit vanity mirrors, cruise control, etc. It has self
dimming mirrors. It also has a short throw Hurst shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: As if the 405 hp LS6 motor wasn't enough, an
$8,000 inner cooled Pro Charger was added bringing it to 461 hp at
the rear wheel! The motor compartment is detailed. Dressed up with
red painted covers and a set of custom valve covers using a vintage
finned aluminum cover look. The Pro Charger is polished
aluminum.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has an actual trunk compartment with a power
release. Lined in carpet, it is in excellent condition. The rubber
gasket still looks new.
UNDERSIDE: Exceptionally clean, doesn't look like it's been used in
poor weather. All the aluminum chassis is clean, it still has
factory tags and markings. It has a custom stainless exhaust with
polished tailpipes sticking out the valance. It gas a 6-speed
trans. Red calipers at all 4 wheels.
The car they started with was very special to begin with. #329 of
only 2,025 Commerative Editions made and it's a ZO6! Then it became
#134 of 200 that received the retro conversion. Rare and desirable.
This is a great blend of vintage style with modern high performance
and reliability. Drive anywhere while turning heads!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
