Vehicle Description
All Camaro Z/28s are collectable cars, but an ultra-low mileage
2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 like this goes right to the top of the
desirability list. After all, it set the new bar performance with a
serious 505 horsepower package. This one is a darkly sleek machine
with the right look and correct paperwork to keep it a desirable
and everlasting collectable.
Chevrolet returned the Z/28 package in 2015 after more than a dozen
year absence. And now we all know it was worth the wait. They
created an all-out track day king that was almost hard to believe
it was legal enough to hang a license plate off the back. Chevy
seems to also know that a monster car needs a monster personality.
So they gave it a muscular design that looks absolutely amazing in
black. And because this example has so few miles on it, the coupe
retains the sleek and straight look we love. Some of the meanest
parts of the design are also what make it so effective. The deep
chin splitter, full body kit, rear diffuser, and large rear spoiler
were all from an engineered package that was honed in places like
the Nurburgring. This was built to be but fast and stable. So while
those special 19-inch wheels might add to the car's blackout
package, they are also strong forged units that have wide and
grippy tires. And the hood has an absolutely menacing look like no
other car out there. But it's really part of an aluminum and carbon
fiber package designed to be both lighter and cool the motor
better.
Recaro racing seats and a flat-bottom steering wheel greet you when
you open the door. So you know the 200 mph speedometer is no joke.
But no matter how wild the look is, and how much race-ready
packaging this car has, we also love it because Chevy loaded it up
with the best comfort features, too. After all, those same sports
seats and steering wheel are finished in an opulent suede-like
microfiber. And the dash, door panels, and gearshift are done to
match, too. It's loaded with power windows, power locks, keyless
entry/alarm, power seats, cruise control, dual airbags, side
airbags, and a premium audio system featuring Bluetooth. And the
included window sticker shows that this was even optioned with air
conditioning right from the factory.
This Z/28 has its engine bay filled from fender to fender with 427
power. It's a bit of a modern twist on the legend with this
numbers-matching LS7 V8. The motor already reliably made 505
horsepower when it was in the Corvette Z06 program, so the focus on
the competition-oriented Z/28 was to fortify this modern
fuel-injected V8. This included new pistons, titanium connecting
rods, a cold-air intake, revised exhaust headers, and a dry-sump
lubrication. One twist of the key and you're greeted to a raucous
growl that you never thought a modern car would ever be capable of
producing. The six-speed has the rowing action familiar to Camaro
fans, but the ratios are much closer so you can really enjoy this
on private tarmac. The fully independent suspension is a
wonderfully engineered dance of technology. Not only does it use
known components like modern bushings and anti-roll bars, but it
also utilizes cutting-edge race car equipment like spool-valve
dampers. The result is a vehicle that will embarrass more expensive
hardware wherever you challenge it. There is a traction management
system (not traction control) that helps understand where to send
the rear wheel torque to optimize cornering and traction without
losing speed. This works in conjunction with features like the
race-inspired Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, power steering, and
Pirelli P-Zero tires to create a feeling where you are in control
even while enjoying supercar-level speeds.
The sale comes complete with the original windows sticker and
owner's manual packet. This is the legendary return of the Z-car,
and it came back in a major way. So you already know how special
this instant classic is, and that's why you have to hurry for this
deal. Call today!!!
