1965 Morris Mini Cooper, "Downton - Paddy Hopkirk L.E. Mk1", Solar Red with Old English white roof. 1,310cc inline 4 cylinder with 4 speed manual transmission. Custom built in 2000 by Downton, an original tuner of the Monte Carlo winning Works cars. Using a new body shell, they built this car in conjunction with Paddy Hopkirk’s guidance and endorsement, only 2 were constructed and he also autographed the sun visors. The motor was rebuilt to Downton specs and fully balanced and blueprinted. Suspension, body and interior all modified as a tribute to the 60’s Paddy Hopkirk winning Mini Cooper. Under 5,000 miles over the past 20 years and today shows & drives like new. Period racing dash, lightweight seats, roll bar, lights and livery…too much to list. As new throughout.
