stacks up with what you want. As an extra twist, this is a

you took it. This rare find has all of the original This FJ40 spent
the first 36 years of its life West Java, Indonesia driven by a
school teacher who needed the 4WD and utility of the vehicle to
travel from school to school in rural Indonesia. In 2013, an
individual purchased it from the original owner and did the
reupholstery and paint work with his teenage son. Growing up in
Indonesia he has fond memories of his father driving the family
around in their family car, which happened to be a 1970?s FJ40.
After 4 years of enjoying this classic car with his own family he
decided it was no longer practical since moving to the city of
Jakarta. The current owner purchased it from this individual to use
as a daily driver while living in Indonesia. When work brought him
back to the US he brought the FJ40 back with him. Land Cruiser
values are forecast to only increase as time wears on as they are
becoming more popular with whole new generations of people as a
prized collector vehicle. This traditional body-on-frame SUV
example was made sometime in March 1977 in Japan. Finished in
beige, this Land Cruiser?s paint and trim are in overall very good
order. The body is straight and solid, the engine bay is tidy, the
cargo area behind the barn doors is in very good order. This SUV
rolls on Goodyear Hi-Miler Xtra Grip light truck tires, size
7.50-15 at every corner, and that includes the spare tire. Each
tire is mounted on a gray wheel. In front are newer Warn locking
hubs. Yellow Old Man Emu shock absorbers are at every corner, too.
Under the hood is Toyota?s famous 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder
engine (code 2F-159187), backed by a three-speed manual
transmission and a 4.11:1 rear end. Driver convenience features
include vintage air-conditioning and front disc brakes. Inside, the
gray moon mist (code LM11) vinyl seats are in excellent condition,
including the optional fold-down rear jump seats. The floor mats
are in good, original order while the neutral headliner is
excellent shape. There is a factory roll bar and a black,
three-spoke steering wheel that is in very good order but the horn
is inoperable. The instrument panel, with its full array of gauges,
is in very good order, as are the inner door liners. A
floor-mounted shift lever looks great and rounds out the interior.
Competition to this Toyota in 1977 includes Chevrolet?s K5 Blazer,
Dodge?s Ramcharger, Ford?s Bronco, GMC?s K5 Jimmy,
International-Harvester?s Scout II, Jeep?s CJ-5, Land Rover?s
Series III and Plymouth?s Trailduster. If you?re looking for a good
4x4 driver that will go anywhere or do anything you ask of it and
come back wanting more, you found it in this ?77 Toyota Land
Cruiser. Make a point to stop in soon to MotoeXotica Classic Cars
to check it out for yourself before someone else takes it home.
