Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is a sleek and loaded version of
one of the largest muscle car dreams out there. So while a
real-deal Z-car is always a rare sights, it's even more exceptional
to find one with this level of presentation. We've even got great
paperwork to show this is a true Z/28 body with a $80k restoration
to keep this looking sharp and accurate.
The Z/28 was born out of building a Camaro for motorsports, so it
just seems fitting to have one finished in LeMans Blue. While this
is the factory-correct color, you know they never delivered it in a
deep luster like this. That's because this coupe was given a
comprehensive two-year nut-and-bolt restoration by the masters at
the Camaro Specialty Company. This was completed in 2006 and has
been treated in high regard ever since. You can see this
top-quality presentation, right down to the fundaments, like the
shine of the bumpers and the straightness of the sheetmetal. And
the stipes were added before the clearcoat to give it a smoothness
when sunshine rolls over the body. Only real Z-cars get to carry
those racing stripes, as well as the badging and 15-inch Rally
wheels. The front air dam, cowl induction hood, and full-width rear
spoiler are all part of a performance Camaro, too. But this total
package also has a sophisticated side to the appearance. After all,
the black vinyl roof not only goes with the racing stripes, but
also it's a true indicator of a premium classic.
All the black accenting of the outside gets you ready for the full
black interior. Fresh carpeting, clean deluxe door panels, a taut
headliner, and smooth dash are all big reminders of the total
investment in this coupe. It's correct and complete, right down to
the button-top presentation on the bucket seats. In fact, the more
you look around, the more details you're going to love. This has
everything from the classic wood-like trim to a working Delco AM
radio. And this one was absolutely built to be a driver's car. The
Chevy sports steering wheel is mounted on an option tilt column,
and that gives you a good view to the large speedo and tach. This
is also a center console car, and it has all the right pieces,
including the auxiliary gauge package and Hurst shifter.
Under the hood, this has the right pieces for a Z/28 look,
including the ribbed valve covers and gasket around the air grabber
to seal it to the fresh air cowl induction hood. It even has the
correct 302 callouts, but that's part of the car's performance
secret. It's actually powered by a larger 350 cubic-inch V8. This
has great performance components, like aluminum heads, a Holley
four-barrel carburetor, GM aluminum intake, and headers that add
power while contributing to the rumble of the H-pipe dual exhaust.
There's even an upgraded aluminum radiator to help keep this
performance setup running cool. The four-speed manual transmission
means you have full control over this powerful heart and its
high-octane soundtrack. And as you take this classic coupe on the
street, it gives you the confident driver feeling that comes from a
quality restoration, newer shocks, and power brakes with discs up
front.
The sale comes complete with the original windows sticker,
reproduction window sticker, owner's manual, and a binder full of
receipts documenting the big $$$$$ spent on the restoration. It's a
Z/28 that really stuns, so don't miss your chance. Call
