This is a really nice 1977 Corvette in Code 19 Black. It sold new
in Detroit, Michigan at Emmert Chevrolet to a GM Employee (M A
McGuinty) who Special - Ordered it. Emmert was well know as a High
Performance Chevy Dealer in the Detroit area with ties to the Order
Desk at GM. It is said they sold several COPO cars and other
Special Order cars most dealers didn't even know about. Being in
the Detroit area gave them an advantage over many other dealers who
didn't know the ins and outs of how to order these cars. So it is
kind of cool this Corvette comes from that heritage. Many times it
is the History of the car that makes it appealing to own.
It appears to have original Paint and it is Driver Quality. It
shines up very nice, but we don't want you to think it is a new
modern quality finish. It is good original quality 40 plus year old
paint. This Corvette Runs and Drives nice. Equipped with the iconic
Chevrolet L48 - 350ci V8 Engine and Automatic Transmission. The
interior is Leather Code 722 and the car is equipped with lots of
options. This is a fun affordable Corvette.
