Vehicle Description
Time to experience the best of both worlds. On the outside this is
an intricately designed 1940 Ford pickup, but beneath the skin is a
more modern chassis, a powerful V8 engine, automatic transmission,
and even an A/C interior. So his unique build allows you to appear
vintage but cruise in comfort.
The 1940 Ford pickup is the right place to start for a custom
cruiser. After all, these trucks had true car-like styling with the
now-iconic front end and fenders...but in rear there's still a
useful pickup bed. This truck looks particularly nice in the Lyon
Blue paint. It has a good gloss and shine that reminds you there's
less than 2,400 miles on this build. Plus, details like dove gray
pinstriping coordinates with the wheels. It has all the bright
pieces you love, like the waterfall grille, teardrop headlight
surrounds, and two-piece wheel covers with whitewalls. And the
sheetmetal is so crisply defined that you can even easily see the
details in the bed steel's stamping. And speaking of the bed,
you'll love the look of the flush-fitting custom tonneau. It gets
even better when you open it up to show off the fresh lumber
underneath. So yes, this bed is more about hauling home trophies
for this Ford.
The exterior blue returning inside, and now it's joined by a fresh
black accenting the doors, floor, seats, and headliner. Just like
the outside, the interior has a vintage style, but there's now even
more thoughtful upgrading inside. For example, you still have the
look of a classic bench seat. But now it's a full custom setup that
includes excellent bolstering and finished in a supple leather.
This also includes two 12v. power charging outlets for your phone
or other personal electronics. There are even dual armrests for
individual-style comfort. And while has a clean and classic look,
they also expertly integrated modern R134a air conditioning. The
steering wheel is the thin/grippy vintage dual-spoke unit, and it
gives you a clear view to the gauge package. The gauge readouts are
brought to you by Classic Instruments which offer a digital display
with correct 1940 colors and layout all while incorporating and
tachometer. Add in the Lokar shifter, and you know to get ready for
something special under the hood.
You'll love lifting the hood at car shows, because it looks like
they couldn't have stuffed any more muscle inside the engine bay.
Ford's mighty 302 cubic-inch V8 has a very tidy setup and an
absolutely powerful presence. It's a roller motor with an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor and a Weiand aluminum intake. So this
classic Ford has a serious upgrade in proper blue oval power. It's
also supported by the right pieces, including upgraded pulleys with
a serpentine belt system, Pertronics Flamethrower coil, and an
aluminum radiator w/electric fan. As you look underneath, you'll
spot nice upgrades like a Mustang II-style tubular A-arm
independent front suspension, QA1 coilovers, and an overall fresh
presentation. Plus, this one wants you to enjoy it for a terrific
cruiser. That's why there's rack & pinion power steering, power
brakes with drilled & slotted front discs. Also included with the
sale is an extra set of wheels tires and a car cover! The second
set of wheels are Lyon Blue painted wheels with "F-O-R-D" dog dish
hubcaps for a different ultra cool look!
A classic like this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. After all,
few people have the time, patience, and budget to create something
so thoroughly awesome. And this is your opportunity to skip the
headache and go straight to the rewards. Don't miss out, call
