Please visit www.Survivor-Cars.com for additional photos,
information and a video. The Mercury Cougar is the more luxurious
sister car to the Ford Mustang. This 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7
convertible is the top of the line and is loaded with options. From
high back bucket seats to A/C, power steering, power brakes, a
power convertible top, white wall radial tires and wire wheels. The
351 under the hood packs a punch and a nice rumble so those around
will know this is a wolf in sheep's clothing! The 351 is mated to a
stout C6 automatic transmission and runs out to 2.75 gears that are
great for highway cruising. It is one of only 646 built with this
engine and transmission combination. The door tag gives us a lot of
information on this Cougar. The 76F body code indicates an XR7
convertible. The 6F paint code is for Bright Yellow Gold Metallic.
Only 113 XR7 Convertibles were made with this paint and trim code,
making this one very rare Cougar. The DF trim code is for Medium
Ginger interior, which this car still features. The interior is in
excellent condition throughout! Drop the top with the push of a
button and cover it with the included matching top boot for a clean
hidden look. Under the hood is almost completely stock and shows
well. This XR7 comes with a car cover, fender apron and top boot
bag for safe storage. It also has a full-size spare, just in case.
It is solid and clean and just had a lot of routine maintenance
performed so the next owner can enjoy it worry free! This vehicle
is eligible for an Extended Service Contract through Classic
Vehicle Protection. Please visit www.Survivor-Cars.com/warranty for
