This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS tribute is a sleek full midnight
package with proper big block power and four-on the-floor. So if
you're that kind of person who roots for the bad guy in the movies,
this sinisterly smooth hardtop is exactly what you've been
wanting.
You can see from the pictures that the black paint has a luster
that will let you slip through the midnight air. But what the gloss
also reveals are sharp-looking body panels with uniform gaps. And
it does a great job of highlighting your favorite parts, like the
pillarless hardtop profile and the SS-style twin power bulges in
the hood. So the first impression is not only a mean machine, but
also sleek, smooth, and overall quality. Clear glass, complete
brightwork, and iconic 15-inch Rally wheels complete a solid total
presentation.
The blackout continues inside with a vintage interior that received
plenty of the right upgrades. For example, you have the
classic-style wide bench seats but now they also have comfy velour
inserts for where you sit. Plus, the newer carpet, door panels, and
dash pad all come together for a quality appearance. There are all
the right driver upgrades, including a wood-rimmed Grant GT sports
steering wheel, auxiliary gauges under dash, a Hurst shifter, and a
very handy SunPro Super Tach II mounted on the column. So while
there's an upgraded AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette, you really know
your favorite soundtrack starts in the engine bay.
As a proper SS396 tribute, you have a 396 cubic-inch big block
under the hood. The freshly painted motor, polished cast valve
covers, and newer components will make you happy to show it off.
More than just look good, this big block inhales deeply through a
Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock aluminum intake. It
also has a gear driven camshaft so it has the very distinct whine
to the motor and is known to be very maintenance free compared to
timing chains/belts. And it exhales with a terrific rumble as
Hedman headers add power while feeding sweet-sounding Flowmasters
on the dual exhaust. Best of all, the four-speed manual
transmission put you right in the center of all the action. Power
steering, power brakes w/discs up front, fresher brake components,
and modern Hankook tires make this powerful hardtop also a straight
and confident driver.
This is the awesome all-black Chevelle with everything you want,
including big block power and a very nice price. Call today!!!
