Vehicle Description
Here's a little secret: Dodge isn't the only one who can unlock
1,000+ horsepower from a Hemi V8. This 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8
Twin Turbo is an awesome professional build with not only awards
for its looks, but also its 1309 horsepower!
This Challenger is so mean that the hood can't even contain all the
power. But before we dive into all the info on the motor that will
make you the new king of the streets, let's also appreciate the
full quality of this build. This is a show car from RDP Motorsport,
and they absolutely wanted to make sure people remembered what they
could do with a Challenger. It starts with a mean as midnight black
car even meaner. So they made this coupe look like it was out for
blood with a cool airbrushed red streak down both sides. From a
distance it may look like flames coming off the front wheels. But
as you get closer, you discover a cool custom graphics package
where it looks like Billy the Kid meets Day of the Dead. Plus,
there are blackout RDP 20-inch wheels, huge exhaust tips, and a
special front air splitter with even more cool graphics. There's
even a custom badge on the front that identifies as build #001. And
the adjustable air ride suspension means you can dial in a truly
menacingly low stance wherever you park this show car.
This is the kind of racecar-like build where it could come with a
bare-bones setup for competition, but a show car is no penalty box.
Instead, you get the extra comfy black SRT seats reupholstered with
special RDP upholstery that includes red stitching and accents to
coordinate with the exterior. And your seat even power adjusts to
the ideal position. There are a ton of amenities, like power
windows, power locks, heated seats, dual airbags, anti-lock brakes,
a tilt steering column, and power steering. This even has
provisions for a touchscreen infotainment system (currently inop)
and air conditioning (will need a service/recharge to blow cold.)
Plus, you have some great performance pieces like the SRT
white-faced gauges and the iconic pistol grip shifter on the
five-speed automatic transmission.
We know you've fallen in love/lust with this coupe the moment you
saw the bright piping so cleanly rising through the car's hood. And
when you lift it up, there is an award-worthy presentation that
reminds you this is the kind of build that drew big attention at
SEMA. Award-worthy polish, AN fittings, steel braided lines make
for a fortified package that usually is reserved for dream cars.
And more than just style, this motor has substance. It's a 426 Hemi
that's balanced and blueprinted. It has CNC ported cylinder heads
and an 85mm throttle body. And if you look deep into the shining
setup, you'll spot two custom T61 ball bearing turbos. They also
feature Turbonetics wastegates and Godzilla blow-off valves. When
this was looking to set records, they put it on a dyno in 2010 and
got a reading of 1309 horsepower and 1011 lb/ft of torque. So yes,
this is a Dodge that reaches Bugatti power levels! Serious muscle
also means they beefed up the suspension components. Plus, there's
four-wheel power disc brakes with slotted rotors to scrub off the
serious speed that this coupe can bring to the streets.
This Challenger is not for the timid. In fact, you may not be able
to find this kind of power for multiple times the asking price. So
you know this is a fleeting chance at something truly special. So
call us today or get used to only seeing this one's taillights.
