The Porsche 911 was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1963.
This was the start for this legendary flat-six Boxer motor and the
enduring classic lines of the 911.
This 1966 Porsche 911 has recently been woken up from long term
storage and looks and performs as good as would be expected from
this magnificent machine. This Porsche in its original color of
Silver Metallic and coordinating black leather interior is the
dream purchase of any air-cooled car collector. Colors and engine
numbers have been verified by the Kardex and Porsche Certificate of
Authenticity. Recent work has included new tires and wheels,
replacement of the fuel tank and sending unit as well as a complete
inspection of the running gear, installation of a Dansk muffler as
well as dialing in the PMO carburetors.
Available records of this 1966 Porsche 911 go back to 2006 with
receipts indicating that was the start of the restoration of the
car.
This Porsche features a 5-speed transmission which shifts smoothly
and is mated to the numbers matching 2.0-liter motor. Optionally
equipped with a Webasto gas heater which remains in the car but has
been disconnected for safety reasons.
