For Sale at Auction: 1975 Ford Mustang in Saratoga Springs, New York
In 1974 Ford introduced the successor to highly popular Mustang,
with a newly designed vehicle dubbed the Mustang II. Launched in
the middle of the oil embargo of the mid-70s, the first year's
engine was designed for high mileage resulting in weak performance.
By 1975 buyers were growing less concerned about mileage so Ford
added a 302 cubic inch V8 for a significant boost.
Ford also brought in designers from its newly acquired Ghia
division in Italy and the famed design firm spruced up the Mustang
II with a padded vinyl top and opera windows.
This car is a Mustang II Ghia with that more powerful V8. A
two-door coupe this car shows 53,621 miles on the odometer. It
seats four with vinyl bucket seats in the front and a bench seat in
the back. The interior is in black with wood accents.
It is important to note that this car has been donated to the
Saratoga Auto Museum so all proceeds from its sale will benefit the
museum.
Estimate: $10,000 - 12,000
