Vehicle Description
The third year for the Corvette C4 run in 1986 saw the
reintroduction of a convertible and true fuel injection and this
stunning Rally Red Corvette is from that highly desirable year.
It is also a low mileage example. It is an original "survivor" with
no body damage and is meticulously maintained by a highly
knowledgeable owner. This car features special and valuable BBS
gold wheels. It is also an award winning show car with a number of
trophies.
The interior is graphite with grey leather. The dashboard has been
improved from the original all electric display with a special dash
kit.
Known as Tuned Port Injection this was the first example of true
fuel injection on the tried and true 350 cu. in. (5.7 liter) V8
providing much improved performance. This super tuned version
delivers up to 240 HP.
The transmission is known as a "4+3" which means it was a
four-speed manual but with overdrives in the top three gears. This
car has the new Z51 performance-handling package. The suspension is
fully independent with four heavy-duty disc brakes with aluminum
calipers.
The 1966 Chevrolet Corvette topped 150 miles an hour and was far
and away the fastest American production car in its day.
Estimate: $10,000 - 12,000
