The Continental R was the most expensive production car in the
world, also the fastest Bentley of it's day. It offers exhilarating
performance all while barely making a whisper. Of course it
features great luxury and premium materials. This one is an
excellent example with only 38,092 original miles. A color brochure
is included and the car pictured is identical to this car. It has a
clean car fax and independent inspection.
EXTERIOR: The Continental R is a stylish coupe. The body appears to
be in excellent condition. I just walked around it and didn't see
any signs of damage. No door dings, no rust. The paint is
beautiful, polished to a very smooth glossy finish. Actually a
mirror like reflection. You may find a couple very minor
imperfections if you look close. Glass chrome and the weather
strips are excellent. 16 inch alloy wheels look great. .
INTERIOR: Wall to wall premium hide leather. The seats are still
firm. The front seats are power, heated, have lumbar support and 4
memory settings. The center console extends from front to back. The
shifter offers a sport mode. In my opinion the interior is in
excellent condition. The soft leather has only gentle wear, the
burlwood has only hairline cracks. The Wilton wool carpet has
leather bound edges and is in excellent shape. The leather door
panels, visors and headliner are excellent. Other features include
power accessories, dual climate zone, full instrumentation and an
upgraded Alpine stereo. It is very accommodating for 4 people.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 6.75 liter (412 cubic inches) motor is
turbocharged and has K-motronic injection and ignition control
system. It runs as smooth as a mouse in slippers. The motor
compartment looks very clean and orderly.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It looks new. Fully boxed and carpeted with
Wilton wool and leather bound edges, no stains or wear. Behind the
back panel is the complete jack assembly. There is also a factory
battery shut off switch.
UNDERSIDE: Rolls Royce used the GM 4L80E overdrive trans but gave
it high levels of refinement and tested it 1 million miles! The
suspension is independent front and back and is hydraulically self
leveling. Disc brakes are at all four wheels, vented in front with
dual calipers. Stainless steel dual exhaust system. The bottom of
the car is rock solid and protected in sound deadening
undercoat.
This is a limited production Bentley. The combination of
performance, style and luxury make it very desirable. I am very
choosy when acquiring a Rolls or Bentley, I feel very confident in
this one's condition and value. I acquired it with the help of a
Rolls expert. He is a judge at national Rolls events and actually
was enrolled in the Knights Club of the Rolls Royce round table.
You can't get a more qualified endorsement than his!
