1965 Mustang Resto Mod.
HISTORY: Car was born July 16 1965 at the Freemont CA plant. T code VIN. 3 speed on the floor, straight six, Rangoon red with black interior.
What's been completed: I purchased in 2015 and striped body down to metal, no bondo anywhere on the car. Replaced both doors and front fenders, front lower valance. Primer and repaint Rangoon Red. Front windscreen replaced. Interior striped and coated with 3 applications of undercoating, heat shield/sound barrier installed, new carpet, headliner, seat skins. 4 speakers installed. No radio installed, but have the original AM radio installed. All chrome, badges and grill, pony corral replaced, bullet mirrors added, gas tank and sending unit replaced. All parts purchased from CJ Pony parts. All new wiring. Installed a 66 instrument panel. New rear leaf springs, heavy duty front coil springs installed, KYB shocks, new brakes installed. Pulled transmission, complete rebuild. Installed a 351 Windsor engine, bored .030 over, rv cam, 4 barrel carb, timing set with dwell meter. New aluminum radiator, battery, exhaust. Car has been driven less than 200 miles since work completed.
