The convertible top is in exceptional condition and functions as it should. Powering this vehicle is the legendary LS1 V8 engine mated to a crisp 6-speed transmission. This particular powerplant has been professionally built to include custom LS3 heads, custom spec VMS camshaft, LS3 intake, full Kooks exhaust and much more. The builder didn't skimp on the transmission either, giving the 6-speed various upgrades including a twin disc Mcleod clutch, B&M shifter and more. This incredible package dynoed a whopping 448 whp and we do have the dyno sheet to prove it. Other upgrades include drilled and slotted rotors and more. Additionally, this example does come with a folder full of various receipts for the build. As one would expect from a modern Corvette, this vehicle comes fully loaded with every feature a driver could ask for. This example comes to us from a private automotive collector and as such has always been properly stored and maintained. Introduced in 1997, the "C5" generation Corvette was a radical styling departure from the angular C4s. In addition to looking more contemporary, the C5 featured General Motors latest technology including drive-by-wire throttle, variable-effort steering and optional magnetic selective ride control suspension. With an all aluminium LS1 5.7l V8 and lightweight composite bodywork the C5 offered performance on par with contemporary Ferraris and Aston Martins. A 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds and a 13.3 second quarter mile mean this Corvette still packs a punch.
