Buick built a Roadmaster from 1936 through 1958, however after that
they would not bring that name back until 1991 and then would only
build them through 1996. So, since we are talking apples and
oranges we will skip to the 2nd generation of Roadmaster. When it
was resurrected in 1991 it was Buick largest vehicle and was even
larger than the Cadillac Deville at the time. Not to mention Buick
offered the Corvette engine which was a 5.7 Liter LT1 putting out
nearly 300 HP making this the first hot rod wagon. Enough with the
small talk, this particular time-capsule will be absolutely hard to
replicate. First off this is a one-owner wagon with just over
18,000 miles from new. It is offered in a fantastic color
combination as well as it was ordered new completely loaded up with
a sticker price of just over $30,000. In 1996 that was quite a bit
of money. This vehicle has been adult driven and sparingly used as
a summer only cottage car from Harbor Springs, MI with exceptional
climate controlled storage. The paint, wood and interior are like
new. The powerful LT-1 starts, runs and drives down the road like
new car. It is 100% stock and is ready for anything that you might
want to do with this increcible piece. It has a clean carfax, comes
with the original owners manual and window sticker. I have scoured
the internet looking for a comparable with miles etc.. This car
comes with the desirable Vista Roof, third row seat and simulated
wood grain exterior panels. The downturn came when the likes of the
Suburban were seeing an uptick in sales because you could get the
same room or a little more on a 4x4 chassis for close to the same
money. This is a great opportunity.
