Vehicle Description
1955 Chevrolet BelAir Hardtop
Have you ever wanted to own a BRAND NEW 1955 Chevy? Or maybe you
saw one at a dealership back in the day but never got a chance to
own one. Well this gorgeous 55 Chevrolet we just listed is about as
close as you can get nowadays. The car is an absolutely beautiful
and top notch example of how these cars looked new. In fact, it is
probably nicer than new because it was built meticulously and not
just on the factory line. It is a 2 door BelAir Hardtop that
received a full frame off restoration that was completely redone
top to bottom. It really is like jumping back to 1955 and seeing
one new. Everything has been kept all original and it is definitely
among the highest quality builds out there. The car is very fresh
with 200 miles since being fully completed. So not only is this a
great car to begin with but to replicate the build you would spend
a significant amount more than our asking price. This is an
opportunity to get a freshly restored car for a fraction of the
cost and without the headache that comes with building a car or
getting one built. The body is in excellent condition and painted
in a Turquoise and White color combo. The chrome and stainless is
immaculate with a mirror like shine. You really aren't going to
find a weak area anywhere on this thing. The original style painted
to match wheels feature original hubcaps and are wrapped with wide
white wall tires which suit this classic perfectly.
The motor is a 265 V8 that was entirely redone. It runs very well
and looks even better! Pop the hood and the car looks just as much
like a museum piece as it does a classic show car. Everything is
truly that nice. It is cleanly painted throughout with a very
complete and finished look. It even has a Delco Battery to drop in
place when showing the car for that extra vintage original accent.
A lot of people focus on the exterior paint that everyone sees and
forgets the rest. Well that is not the case here. 1 look at the
motor and you can tell this was a fully thought out classic with
every component receiving the same amount of attention. If you are
still not convinced take a peak at the undercarriage! We have
dinner plates that don't even match the cleanliness of the bottom
of this car! The power glide transmission shifts through gears
smoothly and was entirely rebuilt as well. In fact, go ahead and
add pretty much everything to that list of rebuilt components
because everything has been gone through including the brakes and
suspension. Some of the new components include new brake lines, a
new master cylinder, a new radiator, a new stainless fuel tank, new
stainless inlet pipe, new stainless sending unit, and a new fuel
pump/filter. Basically if the original parts could be redone they
were but if it made more sense to replace with new then that is
what they did. The result is a concours level 55 Chevy that is
going to turn heads wherever it goes.
The ONLY thing on the car that doesn't work is the radio. Other
than that everything works perfectly. An original radio assembly
however does come with the car and there are places out there that
will redo them. That is the only thing we could possibly consider
doing the car and it doesn't even need that necessarily. The
upholstery on the inside matches the body and is in perfect shape.
Interiors are often the place that start to show wear so this backs
up the low miles on the restoration even more. It looks like it was
completed yesterday. As with the rest of the car, everything has
been kept very stock and very very clean.
Search as hard as you can and there are really no knocks on this
car. Whether it ends up as a museum piece, weekend cruiser, or show
car this thing could fill many roles. You aren't going to find one
nicer so check it out while it is still available.
