1955 Buick 46R Special Riviera 2 Door Hardtop
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1955 Buick
46R Special Riviera 2 Door Hardtop with red & white exterior paint
and a nicely maintained blue/grey cloth interior. You'll find a 322
cid nailhead V-8 engine under the hood of this rare classic paired
with a Dynaflow automatic transmission, the factory AM radio and
too many more options to fully list. This beautiful high-end driver
is in very nice condition as well and it is ready to be driven and
enjoyed right away.
Highly Original & Only Mildly Restored Over the Years
The current owner of this 1955 Buick 46R Special Riviera Hardtop
took possession three years ago and informs us that he gets asked
about it every time he takes it around town with his sons. While
it's certainly not a show car in its present condition, the current
owner has invested in a new fuel tank, fresh brakes/master cylinder
and anything else this vehicle has needed to perform at its best.
He purchased it from an owner in Washington state who filled us in
on more of this one's life story- it was stored in a barn in
Nebraska from 1980 to 2000 and was only mildly restored to keep it
as original as possible.
While the next owner may opt to completely restore this classic, it
can be enjoyed as a typical daily driver immediately.
Additionally, this 1955 Buick 46R Special Riviera Hardtop has
smooth, reliable performance on the open road with solid
acceleration and capable handling. The exterior is typical driver
quality with some scratches and blemishes to the paint and chrome
work. This classic does appear to be highly original, however, so
everything is here for a complete restoration effort. The interior
is also average driver quality with minor flaws to be found
throughout, but this vehicle is very clean for it's age and easily
one of the nicer survivors you'll find today.
