This 1958 Chevrolet Biscayne takes the wide Chevy look and turns it
absolutely mean with a blackout appearance, vortec power,
four-wheel disc brakes, and an adjustable air ride suspension. But
there are also comfortable pieces like custom interior and
overdrive transmission that prove it's an all-around thoughtful
build.
The 1958 Chevy will always be in demand for its single-year
very-wide design. And this one takes full advantage of that to make
a very imposing look. This was born a black car, but there was a
quality respray later in life. They also painted the bumpers, and
the extra midnight in the appearance makes this look a bit meaner.
That's also helped by aggressive upgrades like the wide exhaust
tips, tinted windows, and Torq Thrust wheels with extra meaty rear
tires. This dark appearance also means you take note of contrasting
items like the bright grille, half-mirror headlights, and
bullet-style turning lights and taillights. Plus, the full-length
trim is a true standout that also helps to highlight the
straightness of the sheetmetal. And if the whole package wasn't
already interesting enough, this also has a full air ride
suspension that lets you dial-in your ideal stance.
The darkness continues inside. But now it's intertwined with a bit
of tuck and roll done in a tasteful tan on the seats and side
panels. Not only does this look upgraded, but with a little bit of
servicing, you can have some comfort features like air conditioning
and an upgraded stereo. It makes for an inviting atmosphere in this
full-size Chevy. But this one also proves that the driver takes
priority. You have custom bucket seats up front, wood-rimmed sports
steering wheel, auxiliary readouts, and air ride control under the
dash.
This Biscayne wouldn't be a true restomod without the upgrade to a
more modern engine. This has been upgraded with a ;ate model 5.3
vortec engine. These are the new norm for restomods, and have the
ability to make a lot of power and handle even more abuse. It has
all the right performance goodies, like aluminum heads, Quick Fuel
Slayer four-barrel carburetor, and an Edelbrock victor jr. hi-rise
intake. There's also the right supporting components, like a
serpentine belt system, Edelbrock LS1 electronic timing control,
electric fuel pump, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. It
fires up eagerly while making a nice big block sound out of the
dual exhaust. The 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission is a
stout unit that also provides overdrive comfort. And features like
power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and modern ZR-rated tires
are welcomed for both performance driving and boulevard
cruising.
Everything from air ride to big block power makes this blackout
Biscayne a distinct stunner. SO if you like a well-built custom
with plenty of attitude, call today!
