Some of us want more from our classics. And more is what this 1966
Ford Mustang delivers. With a great coordinating paint theme,
upgraded interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and a powerful V8, this
iconic pony car is truly a cut-above.
The standout presentation on this coupe starts with the code-H
Sahara Beige paint. We see plenty of nice Mustangs in more common
colors, so we like that there was an investment later in life to
retain this factory-correct color. It has the kind of modern luster
to look great against all the bright trim. Plus, this one has been
custom crafted to offer hints of both a sporty and premium attitude
all rolled into one classic coupe. You see this mix best on the
profile where the 15-inch Halibrand-style wheels we remember from
the best Shelbys are bridged by a golden brown triple rocker
stripe. And we know you like how the racing stripes on the hood
match this trim. There's even a premium tan vinyl roof that
coordinates with this full earthtone arrangement.
When you open the door, you have even more evidence of how
thoughtful the whole package is. The golden brown carpeting, light
tan upholstery, and slightly darker piping make for an attractive
color theme. And it's all in sync with the exterior to give you a
distinctive coordinated appearance. There are great vintage
details, like the AM radio that's still working. The air
conditioning system looks like the classic Ford unit, but it's now
running on modern R134a refrigerant (will need a charge to blow
cold again.) And there are also a few cool upgrades, like the
illuminated door sills with the modern Mustang logo. And when you
twist the key, you'll realize your favorite upgrade might just be
under the hood.
The motor has the tidy look of performance the polished cast valve
covers, Edelbrock air screen, new wires, and a Shelby-style Monte
Carlo bar across the engine bay. It all has a fresh look, and
that's because a remanufactured 302 cubic-inch V8 was installed in
2018. In fact, we have $10k in receipts from that period for all
the investment in keeping this a strong runner. Not only is this V8
larger than what you could get in '66, but also it inhales deeper
with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor w/electric choke. The
motor also exhales with power and presence as long tube headers
feed a Flowmaster dual exhaust. The three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and newer front suspension components
make this an easy driver. Plus, the upgrade to four-wheel power
disc brakes makes this classic a superior stopper.
If you're seeing this as a superstar Mustang you'd be right. The
sale even comes with a copy of the music video featuring this
coupe! So when a distinctive classic has been upgraded so
correctly, you know your perfect premium pony is waiting. Don't
delay, call today!
