1959 DODGE ROYAL LANCER 2DRHT, GREAT PROJECT.
It is so rare that you come across any 1959 Dodge 2drht at a fair price but here's a good project car that is priced right. It is a Royal Lancer 2drht, running, driving and stopping but I would not say it is road ready yet due to the unknown number of years of storage. But the engine runs well, the transmission shifts and the brakes work well.
361 V8 with a 4 bbl carburetor and Torqueflite transmission.
Sold with an Arizona title.
The body has it's fair share of battle scars but it is not very rusted. Very little rust in the front floor, some in the trunk floor, very little in the exterior body, see pictures. I did notice there's some rust in the inside structure of the deck lid, we might have a better one, I'll check and if we do I'll throw it in for free. There's some accident damage to the front of the right rear wheel opening, there's an extra quarter panel piece in the trunk as a replacement panel so that is an easy fix.
The windshield is cracked. We sell new Classic car glass and can supply a new windshield if a buyer want it at a good price.
The pot metal chrome is mostly good to very good, the left side eyebrow has several cracks.
The interior is both good and bad. There's no carpet, the front seat bottom had been covered in a non original cloth, the back of the front seat is aged but there still. The back seat could be used as is and the same with the door panels and rear panels. The steering wheel is excellent and the dash in general is very nice.
The car is 98%-99% complete, the small 45 degree stainless trim pieces seen missing on both quarter panels are missing and there's no hubcaps.
All in all it is a good running 1959 Dodge Royal Coupe project that could be a driver with minimal amount of work.
