The third generation Nova most would say is the last good nova
before GM Decided to go to the 4th generation which ultimately
killed off the Nova name in the 70's. I know, there was a brief
stint of the Nova in the 80's but we won't count that in this case
since it was more like the Chevette and less like a Nova. At any
rate, what you are looking at here is a beautiful example of a
slightly subtle but also mildly obvious street strip beast. This
Nova is rocking a 406 stroker with GMPP vortec heads, a 571 lift
Cam, MSD Digital 6 box, and a Holley Fuel pump (with fuel cell in
the trunk). All this mated to the automatic with a 9.5" 3800 stall
converter pushing power out to the 12 bolt posi spooled rear
ratio'd at 4.10:1. This whole package sitting on a nice classic
style center-line planting power to the street with some 275/60R15
Hankooks. Exhaust is immediately met after the flowmaster muffler
by a turn down giving you that true ground pounding sound. A couple
other goodies include an aluminum radiator, electric fans,
line-lock and a cheetah SCS gated shifter. A beautiful interior
done in almost all stock black vinyl fashion completes the look for
the inside. Paint is still looking great after being done some
years ago with only a few flaws noticeable. Surely any flaws on
this thing would easily be overlooked by the sound of the stroker.
This is probably one of the easiest cars to start and drive around,
and the best tuned high horsepower car that has come through the
door with a carburetor to date. If you come see this thing you will
not be disappointed. Financing is made easy and trade ins are
welcome.
