This '40 Standard coupe has received a beautiful restoration with
some well thought-out mechanical and cosmetic enhancements. The
exterior was refinished in Tuxedo Black (2004) with very nice
chrome all around. The interior was carefully reupholstered in
pleated Burgundy leather - seats, door cards and trunk were
finished superbly. A set of classic Dolphin Quad Gauges housed in a
custom insert meld perfectly into the factory dash. Turn signal
lights were added for safety and period correct knobs complete the
interior package. The Ford Standard is powered by a 239ci flathead
that was rebuilt in 2009 and has run just over 1,000 miles since
the rebuild. An MSD electronic ignition was added for substantially
more firepower and the 3-speed manual transmission has a factory
'3-on-the-tree' column shift. Suspension is stock with manual
steering, new drum brakes and 15" tires mounted on steel wheels
with stock 'dog-dish' hubcaps and trim rings. This '40 Ford has
been restored in just the right way and is a fun ride. ALL VEHICLES
