This 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 represents the return to the
meanest track-ready Corvettes around, and so it's great to have a
dark look and a few race-inspired upgrades. Plus, it's hard to beat
a low-mileage lightweight coupe with a 405 horsepower V8, six-speed
stick, and sport-tuned suspension.
The Z06 looks awesome. It blended the ultra-sleek style of the C5
Corvette with a competition-ready look from the Fixed Roof Coupe
and special sides with extra brake cooling ducts included. It
really was built to be the Corvette that you'd drive to the
racetrack and be an instant contender. And this track-day style is
furthered on this one with upgrades like the special cowl hood and
an adjustable/removable carbon fiber rear spoiler. A coupe this
mean deserves to be render in black, and the red taillights and
brake calipers make it look like it's out for blood. But
tough-as-nails doesn't mean looking rough-as-nails. This is a
one-owner car. So while it has been enjoyed for nearly two decades,
it still retains the clean body panels and good shine that comes
with respect.
If you like the way the black with hints of red look on the
exterior, then you're going to love the interior. Chevrolet offered
a Torch Red and Black leather two-tone exclusively for the Z06, and
it really give this a bold and sinister feeling inside. Of course,
you also get a coddled and comfortable feeling thanks to a long
list of features. It includes dual-zone automatic A/C climate
control, power seats, power steering, power windows, keyless entry,
power mirrors, power seats, cruise control, dual airbags, anti-lock
brakes, and a premium AM/FM/CD stereo system with Bose speakers.
Even with all these desirable features, nothing gets in the way of
a true driver-focused machine. The outstanding bolstering on the
bucket seat, placement of the stick shift, and grip of the steering
wheel leather all get you ready for a speedy experience. And the
head-up display means you never even need to take your eyes off the
road ahead.
Just like the interior and exterior, the engine bay also has a deep
and dark look with just the right bold red for effect. This is the
numbers-matching LS1 V8, and it's producing 405 horsepower in a
second-year Z06 like this. To put that into perspective, that's
eight percent MORE power than the first years of the King of the
Hill C4 ZR1. It fires up with the ease of a modern fuel-injected
motor, and its smoothness hides just how awesome the power really
is. And you have complete control over all the sound and fury the
V8 brings thanks to the six-speed manual transmission. As a true
competition machine, the upgraded suspension package allows this
fully independent setup to perform at its best during high speeds.
And keeping everything in control is also the large four-wheel
power disc brake package and Continental Extreme Contact
performance tires.
Complete with maintenance records, this is a low-mileage one-owner
car. It has a great look from the right features, upgrades, and
care. So it makes for a terrific street and track machine offered
for a terrific price. Call today!!!
