Vehicle Description
This 1997 Ford F-150 Choo Choo Customs is a different kind of
classic truck. It's a useful pickup with a bed liner and a trailer
hitch, but when it also has been modified from day one to look
cooler and be extra comfy. That's why you know this value-priced
Ford is also a terrific cruiser.
The people at Choo Choo Customs were some of the best at creating
well-integrated custom packages. They were the reason Chevrolet
trusted them to be the only producer of final-gen El Camino SS, and
on this F-150 they offer the same level of factory-like quality.
You see it in pieces like the custom color-matched lower valance.
Today it makes this truck look like the SVT Lightning, but
actually, that speedy pickup wasn't even out when this one was
made! And you just have to love how the matching full body kit not
only has integrated step boards, but also hugs every curve of the
stepside body. The full maroon paint package is not perfect,
however, the level of preservation and quality of the body really
do showcase how well this one has been respected over its lifetime.
But good care does not mean missing out on usefulness. You have a
full bed liner, and the trailer hitch features both a proper wiring
harness and a trailer brake. So this custom F-150 can also earn its
keep.
Inside, this custom Ford shows off its practical and loaded side.
Choo Choo updated the leather interior, center console, and plenty
of wood-like trim. There's even an overhead console. A bucket seat,
tilt steering column, armrests, and a full gauge package make it
easy to get comfortable to drive the long hauls. And you also have
all the best features, like power windows, power locks, cruise
control, dual airbags, anti-lock brakes, and cold-blowing air
conditioning. The stereo has even been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD/XM
unit that can plug in your iPod. The handy extended cab is nice for
added secure storage, and the full back seat has proper seats belts
to easily bring along family and friends. This was the first year
for the new generation F-series, and it debuted some clever
features, like the rear opening door that gives better access for
passenger and loading cargo.
Another great upgrade for this new generation is in the engine bay.
It was the debut year for Ford's 4.6-liter modular V8, and this one
has the clean and tidy look of a very original-style package. Today
we now know these fuel-injected powerhouses to be both versatile
and hardy. So it makes for an ideal all-around driver for both
in-town and highway use. The same goes for the four-speed automatic
transmission w/overdrive. Plus, features like power steering and
power brakes with front discs keep this one everyday useful.
The sale come complete with the owner's manual packet, including a
manual from Choo Choo Customs. This F-150 is distinct inside and
out. So you can make a statement for a very affordable price...
that is, if you're the first one here to snatch it up this deal.
