Vehicle Description
The boxy bodies of classic pickups like this 1978 Chevrolet C10
Silverado are now an iconic symbol of toughness. While most of
these have a no-nonsense appearance, this truck has been nicely
restored with fresh investments including the paint and A/C
interior. And when you add in the big 502 cubic-inch V8 under the
hood, you know you're looking at a powerful and elegant custom.
This truck looks impressive because it has a history or quality
investments. It had its initial restoration in 1996, and there's
binder detailing the work and over $26k invested. Plus, there was
another $10k spent within the last year to really keep this one
looking awesome. Part of this fresh investment includes the paint,
and it's a very thoughtful package. The Frost White and Gray
two-tone utilize the Silverado's premium trim as a proper dividing
line down the side of the truck. It not only looks sleek, but it
also does a great job of showcasing the straightness of the
sheetmetal. And we bet you also noticed that side trim was upgraded
with a bold red stripe in the middle. Even the hood was custom
painted to reflect the full color theme. The billet grille, shining
chrome bumpers, new bed liner paint, and new 20-inch Ridler wheels
are all part of a package designed to impress.
All those red accents on the outside get even more striking when
you open the door to see the color dominate the interior. There are
nice vintage details, like the texture around the door panels and
the classic round gauges, but what you really notice inside are all
the well-integrated upgrades. For example, the fresh seat has a
bench-like look, but now it's been done with enough custom
contouring to give you bucket-like comfort. There's power windows,
power locks, a tilt steering column, cup holders, an AM/FM/CD
stereo, and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. And we especially
like the headliner with custom interior lighting and a built-in
radar detector.
This truck is not only custom and comfortable, but it's also quite
powerful, too. You have a big 502 cubic-inch V8 under the hood.
While the muscle from that displacement is enough for most people,
this one takes it further with by inhaling deeply with a Holley
four-barrel carburetor and exhaling through long tube headers. It
creates a strong power package that makes a terrific sound out of
the dual exhaust. This also has nice supporting features like an
Optima red top battery, braided fuel lines, and an aluminum
radiator w/electric fans. There are even new dual fuel tanks. And
the big power is handled by a stout and smooth TH400 three-speed
automatic transmission that feed the 12-bolt rear end. Plus,
there's power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and the grip
of modern Nitto ZR-rated tires.
Flair, comfort, power, and substance all come together to create a
great custom classic. So at a price like this, you know you need to
