Vehicle Description
We all know that a car like this 1985 Toyota Supra is entering a
new era of valued classics. But what we rarely get to find is one
restored to such superior status as this. With awesomely slick
paint, a custom leather interior, rebuilt rev-happy motor, and
loaded with all the best features, this Supra is awesome for far
more than just its nostalgia factor.
This generation of the Supra was an instant hit the moment it first
hit the scene in the 1980s. Flip-up headlights gave it plenty of
legitimacy in an era when even the slant-nosed Porsche 911 offered
the flat front end appearance. But the front air dam, full-length
power bulge hood, and sleek hatchback design gave the Supra its own
distinctive and very aggressive personality. Not only does that
make it desirable, but this example also shows long-term care. It
has only had two previous owners and the coupe was given a
comprehensive refresh in 2007. It has only been driven about 4,500
miles since then. So not only did they upgrade the paint to a sleek
Dark Gray Metallic, but also It has been carefully maintained to
remain car show-ready today. The whole car is a thoughtfully
finished package where the glossy and dark gray paint coordinates
with the glossy black on the bumpers, side trim, tinted windows,
and custom CCW wheels.
The interior is clean, complete, and absolutely impressive. Supras
came with terrifically bolstered bucket seats up front, and this
one takes it further with custom setup done in a supple leather. It
sets the tone right for this car, because a good Supra is a nice
balance of performance and luxury. The dual-spoke factory steering
wheel is on a tilt column, and it gives you a clear view to the
full gauge package with large speedo and tach. You have all the
best features, like power windows, power locks, power mirrors,
power steering, cruise control, electric rear defogger, and
cold-blowing factory air conditioning. The stereo is an AM/FM/CD
Alpine unit with JL Audio subwoofer system. So you know this is the
ideal driver to roll down all the windows, open the power sunroof,
and drive with your favorite music being crisp and clear.
The 2.8-liter DOHC V6 is truly a marvelous motor. This
fuel-injected, multi-valve powerplant loves to rev, and it makes a
wonderful growl at full throttle. The motor was replaced with a
correct rebuilt unit at the time of the initial work about 4,500
miles ago. So that means you have quite a fresh heart that's also
renowned for being quite robust. You get to make the most out of
all this by the total control of the five-speed manual
transmission. In fact, the gearbox and the limited-slip rear end
were also rebuilt! The moment you feel like hitting the open road,
the fully independent sports suspension and four-wheel power disc
brakes remind you instantly how the Supra has earned its legendary
status. And as you look to the undercarriage photos, you see this
one looks fresh, right down to the washers and bushings. So yes,
this has the kind of detail work you couldn't even replicate for
this car's price.
The sale comes complete with owner's manual, build receipts,
maintenance records, service manuals, and restoration photos. There
are also many extra parts that are available, including expensive
components like wheels, springs, struts, and sway bars (call for
the full details.) The new class of vintage cars is all about a
nostalgic feeling behind the wheel and offering all the modern
comfort you could want. This correctly upgraded and maintained
Supra proves all of this at a very nice price. Call today!!!
