Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we embark on our 22nd year in the
classic and muscle car business. This beautiful 1948 Ford F-1
pickup is the progenitor of the millions of Ford F-series trucks on
the road today. The first really new postwar vehicle from Ford, the
'48 F-1 featured recessed headlights, a one-piece windshield, and
the Million Dollar Cab that was wider, longer, and taller than
previous models. Also, the F-series were the fist Ford trucks with
chassis that were developed specifically for truck applications.
Our fresh F-1 is the result of a father and son project headed by
the previous owner, although the build quality more closely
resembles a high-level professional restoration. Our crimson
cruiser is powered by a smooth Ford 5.0 Liter H.O. V8 that's
sporting headers, a melodious dual exhaust system with 'twin
Smitty' mufflers, HEI, and nice cast aluminum valve covers.
Additional features include a Ford C6 automatic transmission,
restored and working original heater, a beautiful shiplapped
longleaf pine bed, seat belts, modern gauges, and dual outside
mirrors. The C6 was Ford's big block automatic, so this one may
last forever behind a 302! This jewel runs and drives beautifully
and, as can be seen in the images, has a straight body with good
glass, paint, trim, upholstery, and dash. Also, please note the
exceptionally clean engine compartment and chassis. The prior owner
had not yet installed a headliner, so a new one will be added soon
and is included. If you're looking for a beautiful classic truck
with a reliable drivetrain, look no further. Street Dreams
(830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with
worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
